Let's talk about this series, guys. Sonikku introduced me to them, and I'm incredibly glad he did. If you're unfamiliar with it, these games are some pretty unique rhythm games. You know how in, say, DDR, Guitar Hero, etc. It's the same gameplay set to different songs? Well, in these games each song is its own stage with its own gameplay.
I am playing with the English Patch - the US version will come out February 13, 2012. [Minna no Rhythm Tengoku]. Minna no Rhythm Tengoku [Rhythm Heaven Wii] - Remix #1 - Duration: 2:01.
It's also pretty quirky. I like to think of it as WarioWare meets a rhythm game.
In fact, the WarioWare team developed the games!. There are also remixes which will suddenly switch between stages, set to a new song and often with cosmetic changes to make the stages fit the theme. I didn't link any because I don't want to spoil them. Anyway, there are 3 games: -Rhythm Tengoku (GBA) (Japan-exclusive) -Rhythm Heaven (DS) -Rhythm Heaven Fever (Wii) Personally the DS one is my favorite, but I own all three (thanks to Pac for shipping me Tengoku). I have completed the first two games, but I'm still working on Fever.
And trust me, these games are pure evil at times (case-in-point: Moai Doo-Wop 2 on the DS one). So if you've played the games, what do you think?
And if not, go out and play them right now (you can always emulate Tengoku, and it's pretty intuitive so you can do it without knowing any Japanese)! For those of you interested in playing Rhythm Tengoku in English, there's a that has most of the games translated, and is well worth checking out. The games themselves are very interesting.
I've played both Tengoku and Heaven, emulated, and I've found them pretty simple yet pretty engaging games, as well as very catchy. I haven't played Fever because I don't own a Wii, but I have watched a lot of the gameplay.
My favorites are Night Walk (Tengoku/Fever), Lockstep (Heaven), and I'm sure a few others that slip my mind. Definitely give this a recommendation. I've played and perfected both Rhythm Heaven and Fever, I never could get perfects in tengoku since I emulated it, and it's not very reliable to play it that way due to the minor input lag, it can really mess you up. I gotta say though, the games are pretty fun and replayable.

I wish fever had more rows of minigames, it feels like it has 12 rows of games somehow and you just can't unlock them. The localization of most of the songs in Rhythm Heaven is just. Terrible (Dazzles, Fan Club), but they really improved a lot in Fever, I don't think any of the songs sound bad at all in english. My favorite is Fever, I just like the music from it way more than the DS or GBA games, and like I said before, the localization was great. I'm looking forward to whatever the next game in the series is, be it for Wii U or 3DS. The localization of most of the songs in Rhythm Heaven is just. Yeah, I agree with you. The English versions in Rhythm Heaven were 'OK' at best. Luckily they dubbed that game into many languages, including German, and the German versions were actually pretty awesome. Unfortunately the game was rather unsuccessful in Europe (at least judging by how fast the price dropped to under 10€ here), so they didn't dub the sequel anymore. At least they made up for it by letting you choose between the English and the Japanese soundtrack. Ignoring the missing dub I'd say that Fever is also my favorite game in the series so far.
Buzzy Beetle. I knew the game for some times (thanks to the random wrestler interview videos on youtube) but only started playing it 4 months ago. I bought Rythm Paradise/Heaven on DS for 10€ and enjoyed the hell out of it, then I bought the Wii version for 40€. I perfected both games too.
Surprisingly, on rhythm Heaven Fever, remix 10 wasn't the game I had the most trouble to perfect, I had more trouvble with monkey watch (don't really know why but I always messed up for no reasons) and fishing (it took me long to figure the timming of that blue fish). I tried a bit of Rhythm Tengoku but I don't enjoy it as much as the other. Probably because it's all japanese and there is a input lag on emulator. I would like to play it on GBA but I wonder how much importing the game would cost. The localization of most of the songs in Rhythm Heaven is just.

At least they made up for it by letting you choose between the English and the Japanese soundtrack. Ignoring the missing dub I'd say that Fever is also my favorite game in the series so far. Actually the european version are dubbed into three languages: english, german and french. You can change it by changing your DS language. Since I'm french I played with french dub, and I have to say it was really great. To be honest it's been a long time since I haven't played a game with french dubs this good. I know by heart the lyrics of the music played in Karate man.
So I was a little dissapointed that there was no french dub in Beat the Beat/Fever, but at least there was japanese dub, which I found to be better than the english one. Also question for Heaven Fever: what's your best score in the endless remix? Is it good or not?
I'm glad that I imported both Rhythm Tengoku (DS) and Minna no Rhythm Tengoku (Wii) from Japan. The songs in both are just superior in the japanese original and nobody could tell me otherwise - to me dubbing any of the songs would be like dubbing Rammstein into English or something, it's just something you don't do. In any case, I haven't managed to perfect either of the games, only half of the games or so. For the Wii one, I downloaded a 100% save to be able to play the Endless Remix. I don't think I'd ever be able to perfect games like Moai Song or Daisuki Rap.
But I agree that this series is one of the best game series ever created.
